John Almarode conducts staff development workshops, keynote addresses, and conference presentations on a variety of topics including student engagement, evidence-based practices, creating enriched environments that promote learning, and designing classrooms with the brain in mind. John’s action-packed workshops offer participants ready-to-use strategies and the brain rues that make them work.
Lindsay Deacon, formerly a teacher and instructional coach, is now a lead district coach and SIM Professional Developer in Portland, Oregon. She has experience teaching grades K-8 and served as an Instructional Coach under the Striving Readers Program where she trained with Jim Knight. Currently, she is leading the charge to train new teachers in Portland to use Content Enhancement Routines and serves as an adjuct professor for Concordia University's M. Ed. program.
