Kayla Duncan

Kayla is a personalized instruction coach for Forsyth County Schools located northeast of Atlanta, Georgia. She leads cohorts through a human-centered design process, which allows schools to create their vision for what education can be based on their strengths and community values. Before becoming an instructional coach, Kayla taught elementary physical education and middle grades mathematics. Her passion for creating relevant learning experiences bloomed as she sought ways to help her students see the purpose of their learning. She believes education is about helping each student reach their full potential by encouraging ownership, striving for mastery, and transforming the status quo. Her favorite question is “What if?”  She holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Western Governors University, and is pursuing her Educational Specialist in Learning, Design, and Technology from the University of Georgia. She is a member of GACIS and an active participant in the Learning Forward Academy.
